“I wanted freedom, not destruction. It was exhausting, for no matter what the scheme I conceived, there was one constant flaw — myself. There was no getting around it. I could no more escape than I could think of my identity. Perhaps, I thought, the two things are involved with each other. When I discover who I am, I’ll be free.” ~Ralph Ellison from Invisible Man
If you don’t know who you are, you can never truly be free.
You will always be held back by the bad habits you ignore, the bad choices you don’t hold yourself accountable for, and the lack of authenticity in the things you do.
If you want to be truly free, you must connect with your authentic self on all levels, in all situations and in all experiences.
By learning who you are you won’t have identity crises, you won’t feel lost or confused, and you’ll have less uncertainty.
You will consistently make the choices and take the actions that are aligned with who you are and the life you want to live.
You won’t have to look outside of yourself for the answers because you will instinctively be able to know what they are, sometimes before the question presents itself.
So if you want to experience the ultimate freedom, discover who you truly are and honor your authentic self in everything you do.
